Module 5 - Podcast, Lesson Plan 3 and Storyboard for Team Website

Wooo.. Audacity!! DUE JUNE 17th

So, do you think we can talk for 3-5 minutes? This should be a breeze.

Lets use what we used each individual for our lesson plans this week as our podcast topic for this week.

Lets have our portions of a script done and in the comments ASAP so we can get an order of how we are going to send this file. From the instructions, it seems that two group members.. three in our case.. send their portions to another who will add the audio tracks. Who would like to be the trustworthy member who gets to edit our voices together? You would be trusted to submitting our only turn in file out of the four of us.. super scary. 😃

DUE JUNE 10th
Another TaskStream lesson plan this week! Do we want to switch topics around this week? Give us a chance to work in the research area of another topic? Let's chat about it in the comments.

Story Board!! DUE JUNE 8th!
Look at Peterson's story board example. I think, by creating our lesson plan diagram, that we basically created it. Just a heads up. ^_^ We just need to add in a couple more things...

When we first created the concept map, I thought that the website would look like this, but now that we have reached this point, I find that it is too complete. So, we should really plot out how the flow of the website should feel and run.

The numbers will represent a page in the website, while things under it can be tabs under the page. I feel that it will run well that way, but let me know if you envisioned something else.

Comments

  1. I agree that we should do different topics this week for the lesson plans!

  2. I'd be happy to put together the podcast for our group. I will get it done as soon as I get everyone's podcasts parts, just so I can send it to you all to make sure you approve.

  3. Hey y'all,

I feel that making a book on all of our topic/lessons would be a nice way to finalize all of our topics together harmoniously.

I made a google doc, that has room for everyone's topic pages. All you have to do is go in, follow suite, and fill it out. Keep the formatting the same within the google doc, and please fill this out before midnight. I am hoping to be home before midnight to submit it. (After you are done with something, change the color back from your color coated font to black font. If your work is in black font I will assume that you have made it perfect in your eyes and that I do not have to change anything :) )
Here is the link for the google doc. PLEASE FILL IT OUT!

This is due at midnight, so let us get going.

  4. Hi girls!

So I am leaving for vacation this Friday, June 15th and I will gladly put together the podcast on Audacity, but I am going to need everyone's parts by Wednesday so that I make sure I have enough time to get it together and then send it to you to make sure you all give it a thumbs up.

    Thanks!

  5. Hi all! I am ok putting the podcast together, I would just love to have it ASAP. Lol.
I just sent off an email to Dr. Peterson regarding clarification for the time, and all together we only have 3-5 minutes. I did look at our story board grade/feedback and have edited some things on it.

She had given us the feedback of "I do not see a page for selling the book, or putting the book together. You need both of these ... you might combine some other pages that work together." So I combined the culture and the people, and added construction and selling the book. Let me know what you think so we can keep this rolling.

Once you all say it looks ok, I will move forward and pop up as much of the website structurally as I can, so we just have to upload and organize things within the site per the rubric.

Yo!  Due JUNE 3rd I hope everyone is having a great memorial weekend! Just wanted to get everyone thinking about what kind of lesson they want under our subject this week). The choices we have are... Humans Notable people of history Men Women How we got there Buisness Government Transit/Migration Culture Music Food Family Art Education Religion Animals Wild Birds Migratory Year Long Others Domesticated Working Pets Layout Current Map with Important Landmarks Changes of Map Over Time Landmark changes Topography Our grade level, as determined by the last project is found here . (so 4th/5th grade) Please post in the comments which (Humans, Culture, Animals, or Layout) that you want so we can get this ball rolling! **Post your first and second choice** What do you guys think about doing the Lesson Plan and Digital Story on the same topic, so we don't have to double up our research? Just thinking for the ease of study. 😊

ASSIGNMENT VI Websites

Hi all! For appropriate website use for our students to use, I feel that the following would work wonderfully for linking local history, with the kalamazoo region in mind to how the students can talk about their area in the pen pal activity. Kalamazoo Public Library (Local History) Which is the local history buff's around here favorite way to locate old family information be it in person or on the go. They have a lot of interesting facts and documents as well as 3d items that students can look at via the site. My only concern is that I do not think it is appropriate for the younger students, and perhaps specific keyed in links that edit the page to just words and photos with no links would be more appropriate in some cases. We all know that kids like to click around and try to get to other places quickly with technology. (They just want to end up at the games, who am I kidding?). Portage Library (Local History) This site has a very nice scrolling timeline of how people got t
